From the third quarter of this year, Volkswagen will offer an electric van in a passenger and cargo version.
The public saw the concept version of the VW electric van for the first time in 2017, and after a long wait, Wolfsburg presented the series version that hides behind the ID name. Buzz, or ID. Buzz Cargo (cargo version).
Based on the MEB platform, the ID. Buzz, with a smaller wheelbase, has five seats in the passenger version. Volkswagen will soon offer a six-seat option in two rows, and with the arrival of a longer-wheelbase version available from next year, the ID. Buzz will be able to accommodate seven people in the cabin.
With the ID Buzz Cargo version there are two or three seats. The volume of the cargo space, which can hold two euro-pallets, is 3,900 liters, and the maximum permissible load is 650 kilograms.
Buyers in Europe will initially be able to count on an electric motor that develops 204 hp and 310 Nm of torque, and the vehicle is powered by batteries with a capacity of 82 kWh.
From next year ID. The Buzz will also be offered in combinations that include more power and more battery capacity, and VW has not yet revealed how many kilometers the current configuration already used in the ID.4 electric model delivers.
